
Sunandini Basu graduated from National Institute of Design in India where she specialised in Animation Film Design. She began her career in web animation and then moved to usability consultancy and contextual design at Human Factors International. She also worked as a UI Designer and usability researcher for consumer-facing web, mobile and desktop applications and interfaces.
She has been an illustrator of children’s books for Penguin, Ladybird and Scholastic India and is passionate about storytelling and visual narratives. She is fascinated by the convergence of traditional practices with new technologies in emerging markets, and thinks that Interaction Design is a possible convergence for these varied interests. Currently she is working on her master thesis project, in the area of urban public transport in India.
